During an Event Storming session, the main objective is identifying pain points and bottlenecks. These pain points indicate a need for more clarity in a particular process.

Missing validation, product features, or engineering implementations can cause them.

It is crucial to express these inefficiencies so they can be addressed later explicitly. To make it easier to identify these pain points, they are marked with a red sticky note.

During the session, it is common for disagreements to arise, which can indicate areas of friction. This friction can often be caused by ambiguity in naming conventions or conflicting concepts.

It is important to recognize that team members may have different ideas and perceptions of the same problem. However, sub-domains and bounded contexts typically align at the beginning of modeling.

In most cases, data in DDD examples only flows from one context to another and never returns to the original context. It’s important to model your domain effectively from the beginning.

Starting with behavioral modeling can be a good approach.

Still, it might be necessary to break down behaviors into tasks and link them to processes.
